The collaboration likely came about due to the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate coinciding with the release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD and the 2012 JoJo exhibition, which was happening around the same time. Players could also download a JoJo-themed Guild Card background and pose. By completing these collaboration quests, players could unlock the " Crazy Diamond" hammer, which healed allies by attacking them, as well as a mask based on Harvest called the "Stand Mask" that could be equipped to the player's Shakalaka to constantly gain money. The collaboration started on Augand included two free downloadable quests. I'd drop 60 bucks for a crappy port knowing the community will fix it playable easily, and I'm pretty sure others would be willing too. Instead they pull their bs exclusive that's anti consumer and then wonder why people don't get a console for that one game that caught their eye and end up pirating if given the opportunity.
